"True Friendship" Woodblock Print

I created this woodblock for my three friends from Belize who have graduated (or will be) and have returned home. The quote reads: "True Friendship isn't about being inseparable...it's being separated and nothing changes."

This still life oil painting includes four objects that are important to me. I love to play the guitar and listen to music, Converse shoes are part of my style, I am a huge Harry Potter nerd, and I never take off the blue bracelet in memory of my best friend.

We were assigned to pick an event in History and make a poster for it using only text. I chose to do an event that hasn't happened yet: the myth and theory of the end of the world in 2012.

Note: The small text that appears grey is supposed to be solid black like the background, blending in. When I formatted the picture to upload it on the blog the color changed.
